The term Deodorization refers to the biodegradation of substances that cause malodor and subsequently poor health conditions. Deodorization is achieved by releasing specific micro-organisms (bacteria) that consume the odor-causing substances and thus fight off unwanted odors. Odors usually comes from fatty waste and are created by bacteria or fungi that can grow in sewers, drains, toilettes, basements, residences, in non-ventilated areas, in refrigerators etc.

The purpose of Deodorization is not only to eliminate unwanted odors but primarily to remove organic residues for hygienic reasons. Deodorization offers a pleasant atmosphere with antibacterial properties, free from unwanted odors.
