Low voltage electrical rail

This method is an effective and discreet solution for building facades. It is comprised of a plastic, transparent rail with 2 wires. One of the wires is grounded and the other is under current. The grounded wire must not be connected to the other wire because a short circuit will occur. When a bird steps on the rails and its feet touch the 2 wires, the circuit “closes” and it creates an entirely harmless but annoying electrical shock.

This system creates a barrier for the bird, so that it avoids coming near areas protected by it. This system uses low voltage direct current so as to avoid any possibility of the pigeon being hurt and it is completely harmless for humans.

The rail is made of transparent PVC which is a fire retardant, highly insulating and UV resistant.
